We prepare for the lecture by Nicolas Bourquin as part of Stilvorlagen #5 Comments on Our Time, for our fellow students.
The workshop focuses on two key aspects: developing a visual commentary on Bourquin’s work and exploring light, layers, and typography as design elements. The conceptual starting point is a quote by Bourquin: “Design is a narrative that can change how people approach the world.”
As in previous workshops, participants bring their own texts, ideas, and associations, which are discussed and refined collectively. The design process encourages experimentation—with film, mirrors, projections, overlays, light and shadow, photography, and installations.
The results range from subtle to bold, and from poetic to conceptual.
